We all know how to poop, right? It's just something that happens naturally and a long time ago we figured out how to get it in the toilet.
But, did you know you can train yourself to poop better? It sounds weird, but it's true!
So many people have trouble with constipation or irregularity and it's no fun. One of the ways you can combat it doesn't involve any drugs or laxatives, but by getting yourself to go at the same time every day.
Some people naturally do this. It's 8am, it's dump time. But that's not true for a wide range of people. And if you're one of the people who don't have a daily deuce, this might sound like a crazy task.
But it's possible. You can trick yourself into going at the same time every day. According to Men's Health, our colon is naturally ready to release in the morning. If that doesn't work for you, more movement is natural an hour or so after meals.
After you've picked a time of day that you think will work best, now we get down to business. Obviously, you can't just say "poop now" and it all comes out. If that worked, Ex-lax would be out of business.
One of the stool tools you can use is visualization. Picture yourself at your appointed poo time, say 9am. Then imagine your having the relief of a good number 2 at 9am every day. Really feel the feeling, feel the relaxation of your body, and feel your butthole relax.
Okay, that sounds super gross, but it really helps. Don't worry, your mind won't be so powerful that you'll end up going at your desk while you're having your dookie daydream.
If you do this visualization every day, your body will want to actually make it happen. Over time, you'll find that at 9am, you'll be hearing your toilet calling out to you.
When you're going at the same time each day, constipation and irregularity are totally gone and you didn't even have to chug a bunch of coffee to get there.
So, when you have a moment, take some time to visualize your fantastic BMs. It might actually make you better and healthier in the long run.
